We were called to a commercial building in Coolangatta after heavy rain to inspect various roof leaks. The Plumbing Doctor team were quickly able to identify many problem areas which were an ongoing issue for the building owners. We carried out temporary repairs to the roof, provided a full roof report and measured some dry pan flashings to rectify the issues.
The main issues we found were penetrations through the roof, causing heavy rain water to back up behind the penetrations and spill into the roof. The installed dry pan flashings are designed to divert water to other areas of the roof and away from penetrations. This is a very simple fix and prevents the roof from corroding when water is constantly sitting in the roof bay.
